Pitcher Score?

I've looked around and most likely missed this (wish there was a search function),
but what does this mean?

If the iOOTP version is using the same as the main game, it's the Bill James formula that is used

Start with 50 points.
Add 1 point for each out recorded, so 3 points for every complete inning pitched.
Add 2 points for each inning completed after the 4th.
Add 1 point for each strikeout.
Subtract 2 points for each hit allowed.
Subtract 4 points for each earned run allowed.
Subtract 2 points for each unearned run allowed.
Subtract 1 point for each walk.

how do you view pitcher scores in iootp?

I believe it appears below the pitching line on the boxscore.

The problem with Pitcher Game Score is that a perfect game with 27 strikeouts is not the highest score possible...

If as a pitcher you let three batters per inning on base because of a dropped third strike and strike out properly the other three you get 6 pts per inning rather than 3 so you end up with 27 more points despite allowing 27 baserunners!

Personally, I think a pitcher surviving that would be more impressive than a perfect game. He did essentially twice the work and still didn't allow a run.

Would he technically be allowing base runners? Are those runs earned? I'm guessing they would be earned if it was a wild pitch and unearned if it was a passed ball, no?
