Possible?

Seeing as I was scolded for posting this question/suggestion in the OOTP12 suggestions forum, I'm wondering if such a thing is possible for those of you who have experience with modding graphics within the game.

If this belongs in the "OOTP Mods - in-game pbp/text forum," my apologies. Although I'm a previous OOTP player and member here, it has been years, so I'm basically a newbie.

For in-game action -- how difficult would it be to completely replace the traditional player name rectangular boxes with circles featuring the player numbers with uniform colors (no names). I think this would be an excellent choice for those, like me, who like to "watch" their games unfold.

Here's how I've envisioned the concept:

- Player numbers could be different colors - custom set by the user.
- The inside of the circles could be white or gray or alternate jersey color
- The outline of the circles could be a different color as well, per the team's uniform color combinations.

For teams that wear pinstripes, the inner circles could feature those as well.

I'm thinking this would make the in-game experience more immersible for those who play in god mode and don't actually manage games. I just don't know if the circles would be too big for the stadium screen?

Here's an example of the type of circles I'm referencing:

So, no one else wants this? Holy smokes, show's ya what I know.

Anyway, for those of you familiar with mods to the on-the-field graphic display, would there be no way to replace the circle/round FaceGen images in the screen below with a uniform representation instead (player number, home or away jersey color, etc.)? Obviously, the game knows how to display a circle next to the player's name...

I dont think the game "displays a circle" next to the name... I think the graphic is a single entity with a circle in it that usings XML code to display the player name and the player pic in the circle.

The circle isnt just a shape thats put there... its part of the complete image thats used for that grapic. So you can't change the shape without changing the graphic. Which may or may not be possible. I've no idea.

At least thats how it looks to me.
