Amateur draft

With the release of OOTP 12 coming a couple weeks after the draft, will it include an accurate and extensive list of the guys that will be drafted this year?

My first purchase in the franchise was OOTPX and I was so busy bringing my Orioles to glory (8 world series championships and 15 division titles between 2009 and 2025) that I skipped OOTP 11. I'm not sure if the list was more extensive in 11, but the only players from the 2009 draft that I found in OOTPX were Strasburg and Ackley. I'm sure it will be worth the wait regardless, but it would be icing on the cake if the later release date of OOTP 12 allowed for 20 or 30 of the top real life prospects to slip into the amateur draft pool.

Thanks for all the hard work, and as Bart Scott would say, "Can't wait!"

That would be awesome, and I would geek out fully if they included everyone from the first 5 or 10 rounds, plus any top guys who slide.

I'm hoping the top 100 wouldn't be too much to ask. Isn't that list published by AP in May sometime?

I don't think they really have time for this tbh. It might be easier if we, as a community, worked on them and then have someone turn it into a mod for us. Markus and his team already have a lot on their plate.

is it possible to make an accurate draft class & export it like ppl used to do with Madden? and then import it into someone elses game?

I don't know specifically how to do that but I'd be more than willing to use MLB.com's top 50 prospects and create basic info for the prospects. Someone else would have to put them in the game.

Here is my first basic spreadsheet. These are the pitchers in the top 10 ranking by mlb.com.

I did 8 because the other two weren't pitchers and I wanted to make this easy for myself.

I did this all in excel.

I went through MLB.com's Top 50 prospects and got them all in a spreadsheet. I have zero interest at this point to find info from any other sources at the moment.

Most of it is pretty self-explanatory but I will mention that my ratings are based on a 1-100 scale and if there is no stat like "mph" or ".300" than the number is a game rating. In terms of coming up with the ratings, if mlb.com used a term like average, plus, above average, etc. I translated that into a number like this:

Below Average: 40s or lower depending on my judgement
Average: 50s
Above Average: 60s
Plus: 70s
Plus-Plus: 80s or 90s

Speed is something I didn't give a rating to when it said "below avg" or "plus" because it is very subjective.

When 12 is released, I will inevitably end up adding the top 100 or so draft prospects to my major league file. If someone is willing to host it, when I get done, I will be happy to send them the file as a quickstart or whatever.

Five thousand thanks for a non-modder? I never thought I'd see the day. Thank you for your support.
