The Parallel History of Baseball Poll -- Style of updates

I've used up all of my "banked" updates, so the sim and the dynasty thread are caught up to one another. So I'm thinking about the style of the thread updates, and I'm wondering if I should make a change.

We move in the 1920s, baseball is become more and more an integral part of the fabric of the culture. Baseball's popularity explodes in the the decade.

Correspondingly, I'm thinking of changing the updates from a seasonal recap to a monthly update. That way, you will get a feel for the pennant race, see the hot hitters and pitchers developing, and so on.

So what do you think? Stick with the seasonal recaps (and move through the seasons rapidly) or monthly updates (slower seasons, but more in-depth season immersion).

I voted monthly, but maybe you could do recaps every 2 months or something like that, so you don't feel like the season is taking forever to complete. Just my 2 cents.

I'm already leaning towards monthly, as that is how I sim anyway. Writing an update doesn't add too much time to that. I just wanted to see if there was a ground swell of support for the seasonal recaps.

I prefer seasonal recaps myself.

I'm with Powderguy -- voted for monthly updates, but might prefer something intermediate. I like the fast pace, but on the other hand would prefer a little more depth to help me get to know the players as well.

I wouldn't mind monthly updates, though I think an update every 2 months would be fine. Maybe you could start out with an April-May and a June-July update, but be a little more deliberate later in the season and spend some more time when the pennant race heats up?

Either way, I'll be reading!
