already a few games in. decided to join the forum. amazing job. playing as the twins. made a blockbuster trade right away to pull in bryce harper. hopefully it turns out for me! love that the teams negotiate with you. helps me out since i dont know tooo much about baseball. amazing depth! so excited!

I love this game...Wanna know how much? I gave away my 2nd generation iPod Touch and bought a brand new 4th generation Ipod Touch...$417 dollars worth....JUST to play this iOOTP game....Now THAT is a loyal fan...So I stayed up to see if Apple would release after midnight and lo and behold, at about 12:30 there it was...Downloaded and installed...Now its bedtime...Gotta leave my iPod downstairs or I won't ever get to sleep tonite! Thanks so very much guys! You make my life so much more fun!

It looks like under the sports category iOOTP is already on the first page about 20 down for the top paid apps and under release date is about 5 down. I don't know how many that means its selling but that's pretty cool...

I just wish Apple did what android does where it actually gives you a range of how many times the app has been purchased, I am really curious how well this is doing, I would imagine the bulk of purchases within the first few hours are previous OOTP people but encouraging none the less.

iOOTP is also up to #218 for top grossing apps on the apple market right now but I have no clue what time period that is over... either way lets hope it keeps doing well!!! It's got 41 ratings and its rating is 5 stars so that's a good start folks!!!

Start giving out review copies. I mentioned IGN.com in another thread. They have a large following.

I think we can push this app into the top 100 paid apps and maybe even get it featured.

The OOTP crew can do a lot but for this to truely become a hit it will need fan support, fan posting on facebook, fan postings on twitter, fan buzz, etc.

There are several app review podcasts out there. I know some of those guys are big baseball fans. Leo Laporte and Tom Merrit at the Twit Network have a huge fanbase. Leo does a weekly Ipad review. Also Scott Johnson at Appslappy is another who has a huge following.

I have been an OOTP customer since switching from Pennant Race many years ago... I rarely post on the discussion boards, but I just purchased the iootp and am running it on my IPAD 2. Markus and Palli, you have nailed this one... great game... deserves Game of the Week, and I will be sure to rate this 5+ stars. Cant wait for the IPAD enhanced version... any chance we'll see an update someday with the real logos??

Very happy to hear things are going great so far for iOOTP release. I'll probably buy it at some point today, if nothing more than to support the efforts, and I am sure it will come in handy when shopping with the wife. I hope this is another revenue stream that allows OOTP Dev to grow some more.
