The LRS is a 12-team fictional league in its seventh year of play and fourth year as a human-run league. All franchises with the exception of Seoul are located in Japan. We have been fortunate to attract a quality group of friendly, competitive, active owners. We're always interested in getting to know more like-minded individuals with an interest in joining in our fun and would love to hear from you.

The LRS looks for the kind of person who views an online league as an opportunity not just to compete but to socialize and share with a group of passionate baseball nuts. The League of the Rising Sun is extending an open call. We would like to meet any owner looking for a totally different baseball experience. The LRS is a uniquely challenging environment. GMs exist in the save universe as the PEBA. Though the two league don't compete against each other directly, they do compete for the same free agents. LRS GMs play by different rules than their North American counterparts, though. The most interesting dynamic is the limit of four foreign-born (gaijin) players per team, requiring careful consideration before signing PEBA free agents. A 35-man secondary roster throws a wrinkle into affairs, as well.

LRS GMs are an extraordinarily tight bunch. The league has experienced very little turnover. Members cultivate friendly but fierce rivalries and communicate daily on our forums. Now we're looking to potentially bring someone new into the fold. We'd like for that person to be you. Contact us today and experience baseball Far East style!

Hmmm...just saw this. As the newest LRS participant, I can say that GMing a team in the LRS is one of the more interesting and rewarding challenges in the OOTP-verse. It's not rocket science, but it takes about a month to change a few points of refence to fully get it...and then it's hard to put down.

And the ownership group is certainly tight...but more than welcoming. I've had great fun from the very beginning.
