Where's Bryce Harper?

Just bought OOTP 11 and enjoying it so far. I had read that ~10 or so players from last years draft (e.g. Harper) are included in the draft from first year of the dynasty. However, when the draft pool was revealed, all the amatuers were randomly generated. Do I need to download a patch to get him in the game, or do I need to tweak the settings a certain way?

Download patch 11.2.28.

If you start a 2010 MLB game he is in there with the most recent patch.

Yes, he is there and it's damned good! The best catcher in the game.
In "my" 2016 I've tried to trade for him many times without success.

Mmmmmhhh....you're right but I'm waiting for OOTP 12 to full upload player's images. Right now I'm caring only for my players on my teams (Orem Owlz, Daytona Cubs, Iowa Cubs and now New York Mets).
But I definitely agree that seeing images make the playing better.

He just signed with the White Sox for 8 years, 30.35 mil per. My final offer was 8/240.

There needs to be a way to insult players in the game, if only to blow off steam.

in 2017 is he worth 30 mil? how good r the Sox? what yr did u start your dynasty i pmed u about this but i was wondering what wilson, pully and izzy did in the game?

Don't forget this isn't because someone was good in real life or in another simulation that it will always be the case. Just two exemples from my league (I use the game development engine).

Yeah, he's an 80 of 80, 25 year old FA.

I started with offering him 5 years 17 mil and it just went from there.

As for Generation K, I've never gone back and replayed a 1995 Mets dynasty, I might do that in OOTP12, but I really love playing current year stuff moreso then anything else, sorry.

I'll get you a screenie of his ratings tomorrow.

The Sox have finished 4th or 5th the last 3 seasons, 73-89 (4th), 63-99 (5th), 77-85 (4th).

Meanwhile, I've finished with 64 wins in 2015 and 2016, and then with prospects who burst onto the scene, I finished 2nd in 2017 with a 87-75 record.

Makes no sense, in the real world he would never have signed with them for a $4m difference over 8 years.

I always put the responsability on the fact the rotation is two pitchers only and no relief pitcher is really needed. I've switch mine to three (strict occasionally highly rested) in 1885 for my league, even if the strategy was always set to two. For the past several seasons I have used 3 SP, I always check to see what other teams r set to. but I just finished my 1898 regular season Cy Young GS 53 41-14 record. Toad Ramsey who retired after teh 1892? season for my is 34 wins way from 300 wins won 36 or so. and then i have kid nichols who won 23. I also have 2-3 SP in waiting in Rube Waddell and Nick Altrock.

I drafted Ramsey in 1882 and he is a victim of too many pitcher in the organisation at this time. I already have William Sweeney (27-8), Harry McCormick (62-47-2), Tony Mulhane (72-55-1) and Al Pratt (10-23-7) with the big club and my real aces Bill Wise (56-27) is on the disabled list for 2 other months (I just hope he will be back in good shape after a big 14 months injury).

Of course at 20 years old he is always young, so no need to rush him...
