Question about rookie league ball.

I have never followed rookie ball in real life. Within the last year I finally got started following the minor leagues. Most of my life I have pretty much only followed the major leagues.

Right now I am trying to work my way up the baseball ladder and I am currently managing the GCL Reds in ootp. I know I have no control right now over my roster. I can only manage who the reds send me. My question is, the position players that they have sent me are nothing put outfielders. I have 0 catchers, only 1 ss, 1 1b, 2 2b, 0 3b, everybody else is an outfielder. On my pitching I have 2 relief pitchers, everybody else is a starting pitcher. Is this scenario normal when it comes to rookie ball?

I am not complaining because I love designating new positions to players and watching them grow at that position. I just would like to know is this normal in rookie ball?

I hate trying to manage Rookie because i hardly ever have enough offensive players, I know for my ABF theres only 4 offensive players at R and 27 pitchers, but i am the GM and MGR of the parent club

Royal are you able to locate your players your GM is sending down to you? The reason i ask is because I recently did what you are doing and I could not locate players the GM was sending me, and my roster continued to shrink...

If I am understanding your question correctly yes the roster players that the gm is sending me show up on my roster. The only problem is usually within the next couple of days they release the player or recall them and they don't fill that roster spot back up. At first this was fun but I am starting to feel like I am babysitting these guys and not managing them. I think I might sim until I get another job offer.
