First Game

New to the game and love it but....

I started with the Philly A's in 1926. After winning 85 and then 89 games I was fired half way through the next season. Granted my team was under .500 but I had built a lineup of Foxx, Simmons, Cochrane, Babe Herman, Chuck Klein with Jimmie Dykes. Grove was sucking and thus my pitching was failing.

But why the quick hook? Something I'm missing?

i am not sure but it could be the owners patience and expectation level for the A's. You can look in the Front Office and Options & Ballparks screens to see what they are.
