Trade Issues: Please Help!!

My league is having issues with trades being processed correctly. When trades are processed they all show in the news and players histories but sometimes the player is dumped into the FA pool or left on the team he was being traded from.

I use the force trade button to complete the trades. What is going on??

HELP!!!

Look at your designation settings...if they are exceptionally short or the manager forgets to find him a spot they could be released before getting on the proper team/spot.

You may want to have the managers tell you where to put them to avoid the issue.

Where are these designation settings? Some players shop up on DFA lists and som get released. Don't understand why it would be an all or nothing proposition.

When you trade for a player you have 10 days to move him to a roster spot. After 10 days he is released. So if you are running a sim that is 2 weeks, then invariably every traded player is released. That 10 days is configurable in the league setting somewhere. You will want to make sure it fits your sim schedule so that your owners have enough time to move players to the rosters.

Here is the order I process a sim:

1) Import all exports from server
2) Sim 7 days
3) Process trades (using force trade button)
4) Upload new file to server

There are no days simmed in between the time I process the trades until the GM's get the new file.

Players get dumped to the FA pool or not traded at all as soon as I hit the force trade button. However, in the news and player histories, they are shown as being traded.

Nobody has seen this happen?

I've seen it happen in my league, Not sure what the issue was, but it hasn't happened in awhile

Online leagues, guys?

If so, check your waivers and DFA settings to see how many days they are set for in your league. If you sim X amount of days, and X is greater than the number of days your DFA is set to, or greater than the number of days a player has left on the DFA, the player will get released.

Another issue is when you process a trade and do not sim any days at all. If you re-import teams again, you might import a team or two from league members that did not re-download the league file, post-trades, and re-export. The game importing old exports puts those teams back in their exact state pre-trades. Players traded get dumped into free agency. If both teams involved in the trade do not re-download and re-export, the player goes right back to where he came from...his old team.

I process the trades after I sim, however the "glitch" occurs as soon as I hit the force trade button, even BEFORE i upload a new file for the GM's to use.

So the export thing doesn't seem to fit this situation.

So you force a trade and the players don't get traded? Can you try this with a solo test league(set to Online enabled) and see if the same thing happens?

Dola,

And can you 100% confirm that players involved in the trade are found in free agency or their old teams after clicking the "Force Trade" button(yet BEFORE uploading the league file for your league members)?
