How is manager score calculated?

1967: Won 100 games, lost the World Series in 4 games. Score = 100
1968: Won 106 games, lost the World Series in 5 games. Score = 77
1969: Won 91 games, missed out on the playoffs by 1 game. Score = 30

Just curious how it works. Does it have to do with owner expectations or is it something more empirical?

I don't know if anybody outside the Dev team really knows. My suspicion is that eye of newt and toe of frog is involved somehow.

It is somewhat mysterious. But yes, owner expectations v. results do appear to be involved.

I'm pretty sure how you perform financially with comparison to your budget also is considered as well. I don't recall where I saw that though.

here are mine, i dont disagree with them, i was way overbudget in 2002 i solved that by giving every team 50 mil
