A Bit Annoyed
New to the game. What option do you toggle that keeps your legitimate starting pitcher from walking in four runs in the 4th inning? Were this an isolated incident I wouldn't be posting. Multiple bases loaded walks is way too common. Anyone else experiencing this?

The toggle I would have used is the bullpen. Fourth inning or not, legitimate starter or not, this guy's having a bad day.
What's his Control rating like? I faced a pitcher last night with a Control rating of 38/100. I ordered my lineup to take a lot of pitches, and they ran him into high counts, drew five walks in three or four innings, including two with the bases loaded. That's the most I've seen, although I don't have nearly the experience of many on these boards. Pitchers in this game have good and bad days. I've had to yank a starter in the second inning because he couldn't find the plate, and when he did the pitch was fat. The guy was no future Hall of Famer, but he's a solid major league professional.

Not an expert, but sounds like the manager of that team has a slow hook for his starters. Um... extremely slow!
And of course you have to consider how rested the relief corp is or maybe how bad they are? |
