Not good!!!

I've been doing my uni for over 2 years and really enjoying it but last night as I loaded it up I got a message ...... Fatal Error! Error reading languages.dat file! Program terminated!

I've tried to reload by copying and pasting a backup date into the recent file but its not working!!

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!!!!

Doesn't sound like your actual fighters file, did it crash before you tried to load your universe?

It crashed as I loaded my uni. I clicked on my unis name and it started to load and crashed just as it was starting to load!!

Unfortunately it looks like my uni is doomed

!!! Very frustrating after playing it constantly for 2 years.
I think rather than be miserable about it though I'm gonna go and start a new uni right now in a different era, oh well, here goes......!!!!

wow, holding tight to a 2 year universe! sorry to hear about that but sometimes, hitting the reset button it a cool thing to do...your new universe will be 10x better than the one you lost. look forward to reading about it!

Some mugs here have had AUs that go back even farther than two years. Too bad they couldn't help you out. Tough break, pal.

did you look at previous saved unis when I get a crash like that I revert back to an older one until I found the fix.

Yeah I tried that but nothing seems to be working!!! Just one of those annoying things I guess.
Its just so hard to motivate myself to start again!!!!

When was the last time you backed up before the problem happened? if you just copy the .dat files from an earlier backup into the uni folder it should fix it.

I would suggest starting a new uni, seeing if the language dat file is corrupted, if so one of us could upload a clean one and you could use it to over right our bad one.....may be worth a try.

I started a new uni and all the files seem ok, but my old uni looks like it is gone forever
