Help! Game continuously crashing even after uninstall/reinstall...

For the first time ever, OOTP is crashing continuously...where I cannot even play it...

Whenever I hit the rosters tab, the game freezes...running under Vista w/ a Dell Inspiron...tried to uninstall and reinstall the game to no avail. First time I have ever had an issue like this before. Please help...

Not sure, if this is your problem but it might lead you in the right direction if not there is always a trouble ticket you can put in. Here is the link....

Have you had a recent spate of updates to vista? This happened to me and I had to use System restore to go back to a usable profile.

Turn of auto updates after that and see what happens.

The other possibility is that your HDD is severely fragmented.

Any other suggestions? I too have been having the same problem on my Sony Vaio. I've been playing since 5 and this is the first version that I haven't played out multiple seasons before the real MLB regular season is over. I have a league that I'm completely immersed in, but I crash every time I click on the Waiver Wire tab and every so often random tabs will also cause a crash. Still a loyal customer, but this year's version has been all kinds of frustrating for me. OOTP 10 ran fine on this computer if that means anything.

You guys aren't alone with this crash issue. Ever since the new patch I've been having an unplayable crash problem that I haven't yet been able to resolve. First time ever since coming on board in version 4. Pre-patch, fine ... Post-patch, incessant crashing.

But, I have already submitted a ticket, and Gary from support has been EXTREMELY attentive throughout several back and forth e-mails, but no luck so far. Definitely submit the ticket, though ... you'll hopefully have better luck.
