Major League "Equivalency"
I'm trying to setup a baseball universe (mainly by cutting off the portions of World of Baseball I don't want) and I looked at editing a couple of leagues to make sure they weren't too competitive.
The setting in OOTP under the League Setup Screen used to be some sort of difficulty modifier for contact, gap, power, control, movement, etc. It would've been in either the Options tab or the Strategy tab of the league setup screen. Where did this setting go? For Rookie ball they'd usually be .700, AA .800, AAA .900, International .950. My goal is to create MLB+MiLB, and then add ***+minor league, KBO+minors, Mexican, etc. I'd like ***, KBO, Mexican League to all be labeled "international" and play between AAA & Majors. |

I can't speak to any versions of OOTP earlier than 9. But the closest thing to what you describe are the Traditional OOTP Player Creation Modifiers and the Sabermetric Modifiers below those, on the lefthand side of the Strategy Tab of League Setup. The latter modifiers are only ones that show up for minor leagues. What they do is modify ratings for newly created fictional players.
Is that what you were looking for? |
