Star Potential Missing

I'm in year 23 of my solo league (1st in OOTP11) and after finishing my last season I played around with the game engine a bit and ended up without a potential star rating (1-5 stars) for all the players. I've played around with it a bit, but haven't been able to get it back. Any ideas on what I did?

Is the scouting being down by the OOTP Scouting Association? You don't get star ratings when those scouts are used, only when the ratings are shown based on your own scouting director recommendations.

It's defaulting to the OSA - thanks, for some reason the game won't allow me to view other teams ratings with my scout - the OSA is the only option.

Is it possible that under "global setup" you flipped the dropdown for displaying potential to "none displayed" like this:

No - unfortunately - I have that listed as '1-10', but that's not the star rating anyway, right? That's for the ratings of the individual skills...

Thanks for the response though - anyone else have any thoughts?

Well just because I have nothing else what about the rating 3 spots below that that controls stars or numeric that can be set to none also.

If your scout is not available in the dropdown as a choice - which seems to be the case and I have no clue why - you might try turning scouting off then back on again, go to the setup screens and find the function to do a rescout OSA and this will do your team scouting as well. See what happens.

This may sound like a dumb question but it tripped me up once. Do you have a scout? This happened to me once and I realized my scout left and I did not read the email. Scouting on and no scouting director = OSA scouting only which does not scout potential and only scouts current, may I add very badly in many cases.
