Thumbs down 1974 Topps v1.0 tempate for OOTP11 (11.2.15 and higher only) [obsolete]

Download here: OOTP_1974_Topps_v1.0.zip

Instructions
1. Navigate to:
C:\Users\<username>\Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 11\bb_cards (Win7/Vista)
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\My Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 11\bb_cards (WinXP)
2. Extract all folders within zip to bb_cards.
Contents
templates
This will overwrite your existing directory with the new template (example: 1974 Topps).
templates - Original
This contains the original templates that shipped with OOTP11.
templates - <cardname>
This contains backup files of the new template (example: templates - 1974 Topps v1.0).
3. [Special feature] Gum stains will randomly appear on some cards. If you want to remove the possibility of gum stains on your cards, simply delete the files titled horizontal_stain_*.png

4. [Special feature] During the 1973 season, it was rumored that the San Diego Padres could move to Washington D.C. for the 1974 season. Topps first run for the 1974 set labeled the Padres cards as "Washington Nat'l Lea." This set will label the Padres with the Washington variation during the 1973 season only.

Holy Kee-rud!!! These looks great! Will these work for my fictional league also? If so, I just may have to purchase OOTP11. I still haven't based on the fact that I'm still really enjoying OOTPX.

Thanks!

For Mac users:

Instructions
1. After downloading the file, it should automatically unzip into a folder with the same name in your Downloads folder.

2. Open the folder and copy (or drag) all of its contents to the folder bb_cards. Hit yes to replace the existing templates folder with the new one.

With a default install of OOTP, the bb_cards folder should be at:

\<username>\Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 11\bb_cards

Help!

I installed the template properly. My league has enable BB Cards checked. But when I generate a baseball card all I get is the player's face on the template and no stats at all! I do get the new template in full. Even the bubble gum stains. Just no stats at all.

I have simmed a season through since my first try. I thought that maybe the almanac had to be updated for it to work. Didn't work. Still no stats.

Why can't I get the stats to show on your BB card? What has to be set how to make it work?

can't get them to show up. They are in the bbcard file under templates, but don't show up in the game. What did I do wrong. I still see the old cards upon creation.

My initial guess would be that you may have not overwritten the old xmls.

If you want to quickly test this, delete the templates directory in its entirety, then unzip the the directories again.

I wasn't getting any stats either. I started poking around the xml file, and if I got rid of the 10th season reference (i.e. Season9_Year), the text would show up. Is there some prerequisite that at least 10 seasons must be played in OOTP version 10 or 11 for the tokens to work? My season is in it's 39th year across multiple versions, and it may be possible I played my last 9 seasons in version 10.

Oh, and this is great work BMW!

This is why we try to make the game customizable.

Wow.

This is what I get for carrying on the same message in several threads at once.

I have a fix I need to send out. There was a token added in 11.2.16 that isn't in 11.2.15 and I used it.

Actually, I stole some time and uploaded a new version of 1.0. Can you redownload and try that? I don't have OOTP11 handy. It should work in 11.2.15. Same link as before.

Blast! That's what I get trying to do this from work. I missed that... But at least I knew what it was right away. I'll re-upload the file. It's up now at the same link. Try again. I'm pretty sure this will be the last fix needed to get it to work with 11.2.15

Cheers.
This is actually some bugs that we found with the tokens in 11.2.15. There's a good chance that there will be a hotfix for some facegen wonkiness very soon, which will include the fixes to these fields.

Just redownloaded it now and it works fine for me with newest version. year and seasons stats all showing fine when they did not display when I tried earlier today.

thanks for your work on this. Cards look outstanding

Edit - very minor issue. In the strikeout career total it seems to want to add a 2 digit decimal point for all pitchers.

Is it possible to add "biographical" information to the back of the card? Specifically, date of birth, place of birth, height, weight, draft information (pick # and round), how acquired?

Obviously that info exists in the game, wasn't sure if there were tokens or whatever that are available to put on the card.

Thanks again for making and sharing these.
