Lineup problem
I can't seem to get my lineups to show up correctly in the pre-game screen. I set them up on the team page and when I go in to "manage" a game, the pre-game lineup screen shows a radically different lineup. Is this a common problem with OOTP 11?

Ok, I may be way under-rating your experience (forgive me), but are you aware there are four different lineups you can set? LHP and RHP for both DH and non-DH.
If you already knew that, then I'll have to defer to someone else!

Yes, I'm aware of the lineup options. I set them for vs. RHP/LHP for both regular and DH. I keep getting this tweaked out version of the same lineup every time I go to the pre-game lineup cards. Still can't figure out why.

Check that 7 day lineups is set to NO and check in the manager options screen that the setting lineups is not set to manager.

another thought
check the depth chart settings. When a player is tired those may be set to automatically sub out that player. When that happens, the AI seems to scramble the order around for no particular reason. So, your backup catcher may go into the lineup but the AI might bat him first.
Also, that happens as soon as your player has any fatigue at all. So, Babe Ruth will sit if he's at 98% in game 7 of the World Series. |

Rookie's oversight
I think I finally figured it out. I think what was throwing everything out of whack was that I had 2 regular starters on an odd rotation. One player going out every 3rd game and another every 10th. Not sure why that was set by default because I know I didn't set it up that way.
Is there a way to set up multiple versions of a lineup when those "scheduled" off days for certain players come up? I think it's a bit annoying on auto-play when the computer reshuffles the lineup seemingly at random when giving a starter the occasional day off. Thanks for all the help everybody.

If you want to sim for longer periods, you must either allow subs on the 7 day or use regular lineups. The AI will insert players as per the depth charts. Unfortunately the AI also uses this opening to rearrange the batting order according to its logic. That's why you see the lead-foot catcher leading off and your 40HR 1B batting 8th.
