Help Extracting League File into OOTP 11

I am having trouble figuring out why an online league file i d-loaded will not work in OOTP 11. I extracted the league file into the saved games folder, with the league name.lg folder. but whenever i go to load game inside ootp 11 it tells me there is no saved games in the saved games folder.

it does seem my ootp 11 folder itself seems to be different than mosts. when everyone else opens their OOTP 11 folders, they tell me it then lists a ton of folders ie: ballparks, saved games, add-ons, etc..... when I open my OOTP 11 folder, it has a data folder, a default_data folder, uninstall folder, than just random text files and the ootp 11.exe file. when i click inside the default_data folder it does list all the add ons, saved games, etc folders, but their zipped files. so that seems odd. so i figured let me just unzip them all so they're all just normal folders. well did that, and even doing that, i still cant get the league file to work.

no idea what the deal is. anyone have any idea?

You need to use an extractor like winzip. 7zip or ace zip, etc, one that can extract the tar.gz.

umm i did. thats how i extracted the file into the saved folders game. again, just not sure why its not showing up in the game and tells me there are no games in the saved games folder

Make sure your folder is named xxxx.lg

It sounds like you unzipped into the OOTP folder that is under "programs". i.e C:/program files/ootp/ootp11 when you should have unzipped to the ootp folder in "my documents" i.e documents/ootp/ootp11/saved games
