tMBU Needs One

the MoneyBall Union is entering its 34th season (6.5 real years). We started with OOTP5 and we have just converted from OOTP10 to OOTP11.
We currently have one opening. The Phoenix Redhawks Home Page

Relocations are possible but must be done through an official proposal (details are in the League Constitution). Untitled Document

TMBU is a fictional, 24 team, talent-only, participation point league with High School and College Feeder Leagues. We currently have a $90 mil salary cap.

Interested parties should sign up at our forums the Moneyball Union Message Boards and post in the FAQ Newbies section. If you like active forums, you have come to the right place. Our forums could be considered the life-blood of the league. We have a fine collection of owners that are dedicated to winning and passionate about their team. Our online community is somewhat like a family.

The talent-only aspect sets us apart from many leagues. It can make the job of evaluating players more challenging when you never get to see their ratings. If you are looking for a challenge or just something different, I highly recommend a talent-only league.

Come on over and join our league. We will welcome you with open arms. Like many long-running leagues, we have endured a few difficult moments that have matured us on an individual as well as a collective basis.

Great league - I just joined back up a few seasons ago after about 5 years away from OOTP and thoroughly enjoy the challenge of the talent-only aspect of this league. The league has a great group of active GM's that really add to the experience of OOTP.

Thanks for putting up the post Scott and plugging us Keith. This league is a lot of fun and we picked up some good GM's this past year. We're hoping to get lucky with another "ace" GM we'll be a bit picky with this one!

talent only

you can't see the actual ratings- only the potential. So you have to judge the player based on stats to know when they are ready to be moved up. A little harder than when all the ratings are available.

Georgia has become available. The GM had to spend more time on real life, so we are unfortunately a GM down. Georgia are a team on the up and with stable finances and an extremely good scouting director, have the ability to allow flexibility to a new GM.

The team has chance to either take the development curve upwards to challenge two good teams in Memphis and Atlantic City, or are in a position to move some of those pieces in a rebuild.

Sign up on the forums, come on board tMBU and go to our FAQ in League Chatter and make yourselves known!

Update:

We've got two openings. We're using 11.2.27 and are at 5/1 in - almost our - 40th season.

Come over, register and have a look around.

Sounds like we have one of you excellent fellas on board to run Saskatchewan.

This is a "talent only league", similar to "stats only" and we're running scouts.

Still have openings? If so, what teams?

It looks like Mexico City is still open. Join the forum and send a PM to thickman. We have a sim today, so he will be on there pretty soon.

A superb team has opened up in Minnesota. They have cash, are financially stable, have a young set of players and also some kids.

We're sorry to see GM Angel Perez move on, but - as always - it's a well designed team that he's created for someone.

We are currently at salary arbitration in tMBU which will be run on 8th December at around 15:00 to 18:00 ET.

As we're hitting arbitration, then Rule V and then also hit Free Agency soon, it's a great time to come over and check us out.

Please sign up on the boards and look us over to see if we're a fit for you.

Although we have a super new GM in Minnesota, Georgia has now opened up.

Georgia are a rebuilding franchise with a good number of kids, but is in need to a little financial care and attention as they have little cash in 2059 for FA.

Georgia do, however, have enough cash for their excellent draft picks and we're using the simple method of draft signing right now.

Georgia - a team in rebuild has been taken.

However, a huge franchise with a great history, loads of finance room and a ton of kids is available (the New York Force). Please drop by to have a look over the team who are in need of a rudder.

And if you come along and register, please can you see the FAQ section and look over the "newbies" area and post if you can.

We're getting a lot of spam on our forum when I post on here that we have an opening. I now check each email and IP that's validating before approval - spammers there's no point in getting involved, ok.

Does that happen to anyone else?

I've signed up for an account and have posted on the forums. I'm hoping there's still a team available. New York Force or otherwise.

Thanks!

Potential owners:

It looks like we have a couple of openings, just confirming which teams. Saskatchewan, which has a boatload of young talent, is definitely open.

Come join one of the best online leagues around.
