Caught in a Loop

Okay, I have a question perhaps someone can help with. I created a historical game beginning in 1993. Unfortunately I had to manually input all the correct minor league teams for the parent clubs. I made sure that all the "fictional" minor league teams were deleted before I started along with the generic MLBAAA, etc that shows up.

I was able to complete the 1993 season with no issues what so ever, but when I went to auto-play until next year (1994), the simunlation part just kept looping on the same day. Now, I can manually auto-play each day individually, but that is a hassle. Is there a problem somewhere that can be fixed?

Also, in regards to the minor leagues, is there any databases that have complete minor leagues with teams and locations for previous years?

Thanks,
Mark

Well, I'm not sure about your looping problem, but it may be worth pointing out that there was no need to delete the "fictional" minor league teams. Just change the names and cities to what they were IRL. You can even shuffle them around to get minor league membership correct, if you want to go that far.

And, no, there is no data bases associated with OOTP that include RL minor league teams and their ML affiliations. You have to do that work yourself.

Steve, thanks for your input. I will certainly retry what you suggested. Just a question though, will I be able to make the multiple minor leagues and not just the generic five. I mean will I be able to create the PCL, IL, SL, etc.?

Yes. That's how the 2010 MLB quickstart game that comes with OOTP got created. A volunteer basically started putting that together using the standard tools. If you want to make the effort, you can do it too.
