Who has a story of a player they drafted that had very low potential, but ended up developing past their potential and becoming a solid player?

On a serious note: I had a 27th-round SS go from minor-league filler to 45-VORP player.

haha I like that quote. Did he put up HOF numbers or just a solid regular?

He had one great season--45 VORP, +3.5 ZR--and several others with positive value--around 15 VORP, +2 ZR--before retiring at 35 with 900 hits, 47 HRs, and 65 SBs. Not HoF, but pretty good.
