duplicate players

Howdy,

I am using Spritze's real debut,real team,all players db and starting a historic sim from 1871 and I am getting duplicate players that are 1 year apart in age. Any ideas on how to fix this?

You should not be getting this as each player only has a single debut year in the master.csv. Gambo did mention that OOTP11 gets some of the debut info from the batting.csv file now so perhaps you are getting debut info from both?

I'll be recreating this db file in the next few days and I'll be sure to test this particular scenario.

Do you have the draft set up for during the season? If so then it may be causing import problems. But Spritze is right, it should only be importing from according to the master file.

if the game is reading both the master and batting file, what should I do to get rid of the doppelganger?

Gambo says it uses the master file only and no other. There should only be one line per player in the master.csv, if you got more than one that is where the challenge originates more'n likely.
