total_modifiers.txt?
What are the two "total_modifiers" files? How are they different from the classic modifiers? If I'm trying to control historical stats and PCMs, which files do I need to edit? These are new to OOTP 11 but I can't find anything about them, and there aren't headers in the files so you can't tell what any column is for.

Here is the answer to your question:
Up until OOTP11, when you started a historical league, the League Total Modifiers all started out at the default setting of 1.000. Only after playing at least one season did the game automatically calc LTMs that would give you realistic leaguewide stats (there were workarounds, but that's not important here). During beta on OOTP11, Markus decided that it was possible to fix this problem by generating a first year LTM DB for historicals which would populate a league with correct LTMs for that first year. That DB is the total modifier DB. There are two of them: one for people who use real stats and one for people who use neutralized stats. With the lack of headers, you can assume that the data in these DBs follows the list in the Strategy tab of League setup, starting at the top. However, I don't recall if these DBs included an LTM for RP stamina and for fielder range -- they might not, so keep that in mind. |
