Sorry Cleveland....
It wasn't this time. I'm fine. Well at least for now since they shot me up the other day. You might want to check and see how LBJ's heart is, or rather if he has one. That was pretty pathetic display last nite. And I know if will get the blame for it. But it wasn't me. I keep screaming for the ball, get me the ball and I will make the shot. But all LBJ did was stand in the corner like a sad 12th man scrub hoping no one would pass him the ball.
No way am I taking the heat on this one. No way! Is he trying to prove a point, that he needs a better supporting cast? I submit to you that I am all he needs. Give me the ball and with that body, we are unstoppable. Raining threes and driving the lane, like the good old days. Dude, just kick the Celts butt, move on. Take down the Superman poser and the MVP puppet, than all the world will be at your feet. Now, Everyone is just questioning you, your heart, and me. No way. No flippin' way! I think it's funny that people keep saying that, because there is no way in hell he plays there next year. He may not stay in Cleveland (though if he doesn't, he should be ashamed for how he went out with this team), but one place he will not go is to the Knicks.

I find it odd that a lot of people, and most of the media, are assuming he's leaving. Why would he leave? Cleveland, by rule, can offer him more money than anyone else. Contrary to bailing in other sports, he'd be costing himself millions by becoming a free agent.

I also don't really believe he is going to leave, but as a lifelong Cleveland sports fan, I can't discount the possibility. He won't go to NY. He stated at the beginning of the season that he was changing his number after this season out of respect for Jordon (and also in hopes that the NBA would ultimately retire the number). I just don't see him going to Chicago, because he'd simply be either a) constantly in Jordan's shadow (and looked upon as far less if he didn't end up winning multiple championships there) or 2) the guy who surpassed Jordan in Chicago. I just don't see a guy that thinks so highly of Jordan going to Jordan's team and trying to equal or better him in Jordan country.

If he doesn't stay in Cleveland, Dallas or Miami seems like the most likely scenario. Neither State has a State Tax so any extra money he makes in Ohio could be offset by that. And Miami and Dallas both have super stars already. Miami is the most likely destination. Him and Dwade would really make some noise.

A week ago I thought he was staying. A week later I am 90 percent certain he is going to a different place. Cavs fans dont deserve to get crapped on like this and I hope it doesnt happen but these past 2 games were a pretty good clue of what is about to happen.

I dont believe so...they would have to be millions below the hard cap. For example, the Lakers are going to pay Kobe $30 mil in his last season of this contract. Its only possible because a team has different cap rules for its own players.

Let me rephrase: Any team that can afford the Max contract, can get him in a sign and trade.

That begs the question of why he would want to go to basically a team with no one else. Cleveland needs one more player. Give LBJ a week to get over this.

This isn't 20 years ago. He won't make much more money in endorsements by just being in NY. He can fly the private jet to wherever they need to shoot the commercial or print ad and be back in his Bath Township home by dinnertime.

I dont know this is fact. I am simply going by what the articles are saying. Id probably agree with you as I cant see how it can make that big of a difference but articles I have read projected 100's of millions in endorsements for the king in New York.

Will the money really mean anything to him though? How much is just too much. Cleveland just need to promise to upgrade their team.

I don't blame Lebron or his shoulder, I just think Boston was the better team and should have been favored from the start.
Yeah, Cleveland had the better regular season record, but against who, teams like Sixers, Nets, and Knicks. I know Boston played the same teams, but being an older team they took a lot of nights off, looking ahead to the playoffs. They are still a stacked team. Ray Allen, Garnett, Pierce, Wallace, and Rondo who is just coming into his own. Lebron was the best player on the floor, but Boston is the better team, by far. |
