DH question

I'm managing in Single A ball for Wisconsin. My question is the following:

Once a player has been designated to act as the DH for a game is it not legal to move a player from that role in the middle of a game into a fielding position? The game does not allow me to swap out a player from the DH role in the middle of a game. Is this realistic or a glitch in the game?

It's not available in the game. Apparently the change from DH to the field causes issues that are very difficult to program around.

FWIW I eliminate the DH in the minors as it separately causes some roster problems, especially when the backup catcher is the DH.

IIRC It was designed that way to make the AI simpler, but apparently it's being looked at for a patch.

Really?! I would like to see this brought into the game. It's a little used piece of game strategy that I'd like to see brought to life. That way, I can have my backup catcher act as DH and come in to catch if the starter is injured.

I've brought this up in the past and the answer hasn't been no, but [expletive deleted] no!
