Single season historial replay
This has always been my favorite way to play OOTP for a few reasons. First, I like to manage nearly every game, so one season takes a relatively long time. And second, I love replaying a historical team that was decimated by injuries, made some terrible trades, or just barely missed the playoffs.
I want to make it as "realistic" as possible, too. But not realistic in the sense that the stats are incredibly close to the actual season. I mean realistic like if I was the actual GM, and I have a good idea how players should perform, instead of pretty much knowing (barring major injuries of course) So I was wondering what settings are best for this? There's some I'm pretty sure of, and with some I'm kind of lost. So here's what I have so far: -BASE CURRENT RATINGS ON: I think I want neutralized (I don't want a hitter from, say, Colorado having inflated ratings if he gets traded to San Diego.) -POTENTIAL RATINGS: Remaining years of career -RANDOM L/R Splits: Yes -FIELDING AND PITCHERS: 3-year period. (Like if I wanted to play the 1996 Mariners, when Randy Johnson was hurt. I don't want him having bad ratings, I want the 1995 and 1997 stats considered too) -ADJUST/WEAKEN: I just leave that alone. I don't even know what I'd change it to. -Player development off -Turned off expansion draft (I'm only playing 1 season, so that makes it kinda pointless) -Turned spring training on (I want some risk of injury before opening day) So that's where I am right now. I'm mostly unsure about real vs. neutralized. Hopefully someone else plays like I do and has found the "ideal" settings. |
