is there a way to take one player and follow his career? is there a seperate mode for this? thanks

Maybe go into commissioner mode and be on the same team as the person you are following.

I don't think this game lends itself to that kind of thing because you have little to no control over the players' actions. You mainly just decide when and where they play. Well, I guess you could "be" a starting pitcher, playing out the games in which he pitches (or perhaps until he's pulled) and simming the rest.
I would suggest one of the console games which have this feature. It's pretty fun in MLB The Show, as you work your way through the minors and shape his development. BTW, have you checked out Inside the Park Baseball? |
