Historical Stat Issue

We have a league where there are 10 fictional teams, but the players are the "real" players from baseball history... 1870's to 2010. Each owner can choose their favorite players from any era. To took a while to set up because each player must be imported into the league individually. The owner chooses the year for each selected player... the "best" year... in their estimation. The option we choose is "remaining years of career," so each year as the player ages, their performance is based on that stage of their career. The trick is to select the player at just the "right" age... so that his performance will "peak" at the right time. We started in "2006" went through 5 years and when OOTP 11 came out, we "rebooted" and "started" over in 2006 again.

Now here's my "issue" - when we rebooted" in OOTP 11, some owners chose a few modern day players... Chase Utley, Prince Fielder, Albert Pujols... etc. When a player who actually played in 2006 is imported, his real life stats "bleed" through into the year 2006 in our game. For Example it's April 2006 and Ryan Howard already has 58 homers when the league leader stats are displayed. What did I do wrong? This didn't seem to happen before. Is there an option or a choice we can make in League Set Up or when importing modern players that will stop the "bleed through" from happening?

Sounds like a weird bug more than anything you guys did in league creation, but that is just a guess.

There is an option in the league set up to "keep players stats for this season" or something like that you may have hit.
