Boys Of Yesteryear Historical league has openning

The BOY is a historical league that started play in 1901 and currently is in the middle of the 1938 season, so we have been around for a good amount of time.

We are not a writting league, however there are very small perks for doing so, nothing that is going to disrupt the level of play across teams.

We have a dedicated owner who edits the rookie draft class as it comes in so year after year we have the same type of players coming in and pretty much ready to go. We also have been brining in 4-5 negro league players a season since 1917.

Our league is split into 4 divisions, not 1 as this time period had in real life.

Sims occur Monday-Wednesday-Friday mornings, simming half a month with each sim.

Also the league majority was to wait for OOTP2012 before we upgrade again, in case this was a factor in your decision.

The open team is the Philadelphia A's, 2 years removed from a World Series Win, and curently they are in the middle of a division race, 5 games back with 46 left to play. They are lead by Chuck Klien, Pepper Bassett, Ray Dandridge, Monty Stratton, and Jim Brillheart.

If you are interested, please check us out. Both our home page and our forums are locked down for security reasons, so you will need to register first and please let me know that you are interested.

I edit pretty much every rookie as they come in. Most of them will be as useless as they were in real life, but I do everything I can to make players look as close as possible to their real-life counterparts. I'm particularly proud of our Negro Leaguers. We're approaching the end of that era, and I'm sad to see it go. It has been a blast watching these guys play along side the MLBers.

One thing I might mention as well is this is a league full of grown men. We're not going to do drama or antagonism. Don't bring your baggage to the BOY. We just want to enjoy some baseball.

we just finised up the 1938 season and will be heading into our off-season once the rookie edits are done, so this would be a great time to jump in as you would have a little bit of time to look over the A's while those edits are being done.

I'm been in league for 5 years. I'm looking for a fun and dedicated league. Any openings, please email me sgaudio3@hotmail.com or shoot me a PM.
No bagage here since I've been following baseball since 1969...

Sal picked a great time to check in as the Giants just opened up and he snatched them fast.

We still have the A's open. Team had about 30 injuries last year and still only missed the division title by 2 games. They are a contender right now.

We just finished up the draft and are in the middle of Free-Agency before we start our 39th season in 1939.

We just finished the regular season in 1942, and will be spinning the playoffs next week.

We have the New York Giants open. They are in good financial shape, sport the #1 rated minor league system in the league, thier top prospect is Warren Spahn who is all ready for the show in '43. They also have the #2 pick in this years draft.

Please contact me if you are interested. via post here or PM.

Our new league page can be found here.

One more thing we are only staying on 10 until 12 comes out. League majority (which most have been here since the beginning) want to change versions every other one.

World Series is over and the off-season will be starting on Friday. The perfect time to jump in and make that top pick yourself.

Hey Mike, I wouldnt mind getting back into the league. Has been a while but I still have OOTP10. As much as I hate the Giants, I would take them and lay down for the Dodgers to win as much as possible. Kidding of course. Let me know.
