Player Development Report
How often are these given to me by my scout? It's now one and a half months into the season and I still don't have a report. I noticed they don't even update the ratings until you ask the scout for a new scouting report. Is this how they do it now?

With scouting off I haven't seen a single team get an updated report after almost two months.

I just wanted to follow up on this...am I missing something?
I'm now in the beginning of July and my Player Development Report is completely empty, including all minor leagues. I have scouting on and know for a fact that my scout re-scouted on June 1 and there were some differences. I'm very confused by this. |

I'm seeing the same thing, but I distinctly remember seeing it elsewhere. It might be that one screen is displaying the information, but another one isn't.
Has anyone submitted a bug report? |

Okay, I did some investigating.
From the manager's homepage, clicking on the Player Development Report link leads to an HTML page with no data. Yet, when I click on the drop down menu with the team's name and select Player Development Report, the data appears. This appears to be a bug, and I've submitted it via the support system as Ticket ID: AON-154729. Last edited by RandyTiger; 05-06-2010 at 08:43 PM. |

I always liked the HTML version better since it used text and updated every time a change happened. The new system has never been useful for me.

Does anyone know the schedule of when the scout updates the scouting reports for a given team? I didn't buy OOTP10 but I remember in OOTP9 you could request a scouting report for an entire organization or a given team. You can't do that in this one. It seems to be done automatically at certain times. |

The solo/offline play should really utilize Getch's utility or something similar and basic to fit in-game. Trying to track development currently is unintuitive and really, unusuable.

Heard back from Tech Support. It's been submitted as a bug, so a fix should come soon.

Another question regarding scouting and the Player Development Report. For some reason past reports are completely missing. My scout looked at everyone on 6/1. He did it again on 8/1 (why no email saying that he's done a completely scouting report?). However, nowhere is the scouting report from 6/1...it says the previous report is 4/3. I don't get it.
I'd gladly post a print screen if someone could tell me how to do that. For some players I requested individual scouting reports and even those are gone, if they were prior to the 8/1 report. It's not a huge deal except now, just like on 6/1, the Player Development Report is comparing the new scouting reports with the 4/3 ones...so I can't tell who has improved (at least in my scouts eyes) and who hasn't since 6/1.

It's a limitation of the player development report that all the reports for a year aren't individually presented (altho' the yearly cumulative reports are kept - check the drop down buttons for 1, 2, 3 years, previous reports, etc).
It just shows the baseline from the beginning of the season as compared to the current date, which is the most important thing. But it would be nice to track changes from report to report. Pity Getch's tracking utility isn't available for solo/off-line use, it'd be perfect for this. The print screen, for future reference, can be done by hitting the "print screen" button your keyboard. You can then access it via a graphics program like Paint, GIMP, etc, and go from there. |
