Thanks bud. I figured that since there are roster mods out there that there was a need for a team personnel mod to go along with them.

As I stated in the readme file, if anyone has any problems or questions with my mod, feel free to contact me here in the forum.

Jamiemoyer50 is hosting the mod and can be downloaded by clicking the link below:

Greetings and thanks for trying my first official mod. Here are the installation instructions:
  1. If you have the game open, save you work then quit the program.
  2. You will need WinZip to open the archive. If you don't have WinZip you can download it here.
  3. Open WinZip and click on the "OPEN" button to open the archive. Locate and double click on the archive named "2010 MLB Team Personnel Photo Set for OOTP11.zip".
  4. In the menu bar click on "ACTIONS".
  5. Inside the "actions" menu click on "SELECT ALL". Before you proceed to the next step, hold down your Ctrl button and scroll down and locate the readme file and left click once to deselect it. If you want you can continue scrolling down and locate the "thumbs.db" and deselect it as well.
  6. Next, click on the "EXTRACT" button.
  7. With the extract dialogue box open, locate where you installed OOTP11. The parent directory file should be named Out of the Park Developments. Double click on it. It now should show a sub-file menu named OOTP Baseball 11. Double click on it. In that sub-file menu, there is a file named "data". Double click on it. In this sub-file menu, locate the "photos" file folder. SINGLE click on the photos folder and click on the EXTRACT button.
  8. During the extraction process, a "Confirm File Overwrite" box may pop up. You may select "No" as you do not need the thumbs.db file.
  9. Now you may start the game and as always enjoy!
That's all there is to installing JPEG photo mods in OOTP baseball. It may look or sound like there's a lot involved but after you do this a few times you will find out there's nothing to it. I went into detail for those like you who are new to OOTP baseball.

If you have any more questions just ask. And welcome to the best baseball game on the planet!!

Exclamation A Note to all....

By the way, as the 2010 MLB season progresses, I will be updating this mod to include any managerial and coaching changes.

Thanks for all the hard work....

but I cannot get it to work for me. I followed your instructions, tho never saw a data dir just put it directly into photos. Tried it in a saved league and when that didn't work I started a new league and still no luck.

Can you help me out?

Thanks.

I'm going to need more information. Can you tell me where you installed OOTP11? What I mean is did you install the game to your C:/Program Files folder or did you install it into your My Documents folder? The data directory is a sub file folder that the game installs by default. It is located inside the parent directory file folder named Out of the Park Developments/OOTP Baseball 11.

My friend I'm not doubting your word but you may want to check and make sure you extracted the photos to the photos file folder and not the pictures file folder. Another thing to check is to see if when you extracted the photos that somehow a file folder was created inside of the photos folder with the photos from my mod in that file folder. All you need to do in that case is to simply move the photos directly into the photos folder. If you need further instructions as to how to move the photos then let me know.

Here is where my OOTP11 dir is located: C:Users/Myname/MyDocuments/OOTPDevelopment/OOTP Baseball 11/Photos

Now the coaches and managers photos show up juts fine (owners too) but not any players....

Ohhh! I just reread the lead post and it is only for those nonplayers lol, nevere mind!

Is this set included in the MLB all in one set? I noticed the "All in one" set came with some personal pictures and i wasn't sure if this was included or if it was a separate package?

As far as I know this set is not included in the MLB All-In-One mod. I created this to be a separate package.

Thanks for asking!

Hmmm, ok. I don't see a folder called 'photos' or anything close to that. I find everything, then I get into the Data folder and don't see a photos folder.

Spanishfly, if I may ask, what operating system do you have? Either the game didn't download and/or install properly or you have an operating system other than Windows. My bad for not mentioning this in my installation instructions above but that is for those who have Windows. If you have Mac or Linux, I will try my very best to help you but I'm not at all familiar with those OS's.

pretty sure I read this somewhere. For macs, the photos should be named in lower case. So anyone on Mac, if the photo doesn't show, try changing the name to all lower case and see if that helps. Some Installations also put folders in your My Documents folder..Easiest way to find is to do a hard drive search for the specified folder name.
Another thing I noticed isn't mentioned is that for all operating systems, OOTP 11 no longer copies the real pics over to your saved games folder. So to use real pics, you need to manually copy them to your saved_games\"your saved game name"\news\html\images folder. Hope this helps some folks. And thanks again for all your hard work...
