windows 7 setup

I downloaded the setup for windows on windows 7. I then double clicked the file once it was done downloading and windows asked if I wanted to allow access. I did, and nothing happened.

I've been trying for about half an hour now. Anybody know what to do? I do have admin privileges. Hopefully something simple...

This is the same exact thing happening to me .. I've been racking my brain trying to figure out what's going on .. hopefully someone has a fix soon, I want to see what all the hype is about!!!

Hope you guys get this worked out soon. Game is fantastic.

I have Win 7 home premium with Admin rights and the game installed without a hitch.

try right clicking on the exe file and run as admin?

Re-download the file from a different server and run as admin. That's how I fixed my problem with that on a Win 7 system..

Killing Time is right. There was at least one mirror (#5) and maybe another (#2) that had corrupt files on them. Sorry about the trouble.

I'm shocked that this happened. Making the correct files available for download and verifying that they work properly isn't rocket science. Somebody dropped the ball here.

When you have three people working 16-hour days for 2 months leading up to release, not everything goes perfectly.

If the worst problem we come up with is that one bad setup file was out there for less than 12 hours, I'll consider it a success.

I hope everything worked out for everyone, and you're enjoying the game now.

For future reference folks, the most reliable way to get an official response to any problem you are having is to send in a support ticket!

Let me emphasize the support ticket point. I put one in on the installer not working and got a response and a fix in a couple of hours.

I'm very impressed with the level of support being delivered.

When things are actually being released to the public they should be carefully checked first. You know this.

I downloaded from the a correct mirror and had no install problems but my sympathy goes out to all the frustrated guys who weren't so lucky and who kept trying to figure out just what to do to get the game to install, not knowing that there was nothing that they could do that would make it work. That should not have happened to them. You may choose to view this as no big deal in the scheme of things but I would have hated to be one of those guys, and you would have hated it too.

They deserved better.

I have windows 7 and had no problems downloading or installing.
