Best Stadiums - SF Giants

As I do with most new releases I have been cleaning up my stadiums today. Over the years I think I have spent as much time working on stadiums as I have playing the game. I don't have the talent of others for creating them (I wish I did) but I spend a lot of time looking for, and organizing pics.

also there are some great sites for finding stadiums, but most of them are organized in packages, where as most of my search is by team. So my thought was to start a thread for each team and post some of the better pics I have and have a place for others to upload theirs as well.

we all have our own personal preferences, but for me I am looking for something very specific when it comes to an OOTP stadium.

First, for whatever reason (probably the need to imagine the game is real) I don't like real photos of stadiums but much prefer graphical representations.

I also prefer large high and behind home plate classic look. The new stadiums in the all in one pack are very high quality, but they are far too steep for my tastes. You end up with huge empty space between the pitcher and catcher and a very crowded outfield, overall not the even symmetrical look I prefer.

with that in mind their are really two gold standards when it comes to OOTP stadiums.

the first is the old school La Russa Stadiums. Perhaps because I played that game so much when I was younger, they look just right.

the only thing that passes those is the excellent work that has been done over the years by Teflon. Nothing compares to the work he does IMO.

So I will start with the Giants, primarily because I have a fantastic teflon made Pac Bell Park and also of course because the Giants are the team I have followed all my life and the only team I play in the game.

I had been through about 100 Pac Bell Park Stadiums until he made that one, and I have yet to use anything else since.

I would love to have a night version, but all of my feeble attempts have looked very bad. If anyone is good at this stuff and was willing to make a night version and post it, I would love to see it.

Now before I had a good pac bell, sometimes I would use another stadium I called Mays Field. I don't remember where it came from, but I did do some small customizations. and I haven't used it in years.

Pac Bell day and night with ball locations.

I use the original teflon for day and the modified for night so the locations are different- but if you import this file it should all work

Teflon comes through again with a great night version - at this point I am set on my SF Ballparks for years

I think the one noted as Mays Field above is actually an edit of the OTB series (created by Henry? not sure) of Braves Field. I think this is the original:

the only 3D I found for Pac Bell (fine, ATT Park) has crashed every time. anyone have a working 3D model for Giants?

These are great!!! And we thank you very much for posting. Personally, I've been on the look-out for stadiums to add to 00TP16 and was wondering just how to do this? Can you tell me if there are instructions available on how to add them to the game? What picture format does the game require; jpeg, png etc.,? What are the size ratio's that have to be adhered too?

I would assume they must be placed into the OOTP16 game folder - probably under BALLPARKS if these beautiful photo's can be placed inside the game. We're still searching and hopefully something will develop soon.

At any rate - thanks once again for this work, it is appreciated and valued very much.

You can put them in the ballparks folder assuming the parks are named properly the game should load them automatically. I keep mine separate and load them manually. Team menu - settings - edit Park - Pictures & coordinates - Select file - day/night. Size depends on you default OOTP size but to me 1024 x 768 works best. jpeg.
