HELP!!! I Goofed!

I tried to delete some leagues from my game. I could not find out how to do so through the game itself so I went into the directory and deleted some files. I must have deleted something I should not have as I can no longer play the game. If I try to load and existing league or create a new league I get the following message:

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error

Program: C:\PROGRAM FILES\OOTP4\OOTP4.exe

abnormal program termination

Please help! My team has just won the League Championship Series and made it to the World Series and I can't load my league and start game 1.

I would suggest that you just install the game again in another directory then just move your league over to that copy of the game.

I am having the exact same problem. Would I be using one of my three licenses by doing so?

Not if it is already installed on your PC.

You guys give new meaning to the word Support!!!

I d/l the OOTP4 Setup file, installed it to a different directory, cut and pasted my zipped league files (and the reciept.txt) and the game launched without having to relicense it. This is great! However, can I now delete the original install that somehow became hosed?

fyi for further clarification - the error is caused (I think) by the last opened/saved league being deleted. You can delete any .lg folder you want except the last one used when OOTP was shut down.

If you had not cleaned out the recycle bin you could have copied the folders back too without having to reinstall.
