HTML reports
I am getting ready to start an online league for some friends to play on. I have 19 leagues and 110 years of history. My database shows about 168000 people. How long do you think it will take to do the original run of reports?

Depending on your CPU speed it could take anywhere from 1-3+ hours. The league I run is probably about half your size. I run historical web reports twice, once after the season and once during the all-star break. There may be reports you don't want included originally. You probably don't want all the box-scores so that will cut some time down. This is really dependant on your computer and what reports you include. My opinion is you can at a minimum expect more than 1 hour.
I have a quad core cpu, 8GB Ram with Windows 7 64bit and the historical reports usually take me 45 minutes. On my MacBook Pro, it is around 2 hours, if it completes. |
