Help...so slow

I'm uploading all the league files to a OOTP hosted site and it's taking forever...I have cable. How long does this uploading usually take?

Are you using the Upload option in the game? If so, get an ftp client and upload your files, you'll find it much quicker. Still will take a while, but definitely faster than in game option.

Thanks to the OOTP people, my time has been cut to 3 minutes. If your league is hosted by them, they have an unzip utility. I zip up all my files and upload the one file in about 3 minutes. At the next 1/4 hour, it automatically gets unzipped and is ready to go. Great utility!

Unless, of course, you aren't on the ootp server

Holyroller...

I'm not on the OOTP server either, but I asked my host's tech guys to write a very similar script for me. It was free, and it works really well. I have a 56k modem. The 1500 files took over an hour to upload. Now, I upload one 2.5 meg file (about 5 minutes) and then unzip it in 15 seconds.

If you don't have a cooperative host, email me (noblcommish@nobl.net) and I will see if the program I have would work on your end.

Rock and roll. I'll send you an e-mail when I get home. My host is pretty large and it takes them forever just to respond to a simple question.
