Logos for my Keystone Baseball League
After copying logos from cephasjames, changing colors, trying various templates, etc, I decided to try to generate "professional" quality logos for my league. Well, as professional as I can get.
![]() Here's the first attempt - the Lancaster Farmers, based on the new Lake County Fielders' logo. I used Inkscape. I'm not sure it's 100% done but I'm pretty happy with it. If anybody has any suggestions, let me know.

I like it, nicely done. My only thought otherwise is wondering if the cornfield in the back ground is going to be too busy when the logo gets shrunk down for "in game"
I really do like it though.. I like the colors.. i like the "imperfect" font. No joke, this is just a well done logo. Well balanced, good color scheme.. |

Thanks. That's high praise coming from davwms. The original artist who drew it should get almost all of the credit. I had used a script font like the original. But I wanted something that fit the Farmers better. For the rest of the teams, I want to try be more original.
It might be a bit busy when shrunk. Here it is at 150 wide. That's the nice thing about doing it as a vector image - I can easily delete the corn and make the batter bigger if I want. But I want something that suggests farmers rather than just ball players.

I would leave it as it is there.. and maybe for the smaller versions remove the corn? I think it still looks fine here..

The logo looks fantastic. The only thing I can think of is maybe to change the farmers shirt to more of a green color to loosely represent a work shirt.

I'll try that rocknfire7 and see how it looks. Good idea.
For the home jerseys, I'm using the Script from the logo or something similar. For the away jerseys, this is the script-- I'll either post the OOTP jerseys here or on photobucket in case anyone wants them.

Here's the next team, the Scranton Iron Horses. It didn't come out as well as I wanted but I'm fairly happy with it for now. I do want to change the train but maybe I'll do that after I'm done with my other 10 teams. The sign that says SCRANTON is based on the signs used by the Pennsylvania RR.
Any comments or suggestions on how to improve it are appreciated.

They both look great. I like them a lot. How do the bolts look at 150x150?
Another question: is the 'Iron Horses' a font you found and if so could you point me to it? Thanks. EDIT: I didn't even notice the two-tone yellow background the first time. It needs some definition or something otherwise it just looks yellow. Last edited by TribeFanInNC; 10-24-2009 at 11:13 AM. |

I love the Iron Horses logo, although I agree about the background; make the orange a bit darker, but otherwise I'd leave it be!

Thanks. I think this one is OK but I might change it so the train is coming straight ahead. And it's kinda busy so I might get rid of the steel border and the bolts. But I'll see...
Thanks for the advice about the corn too. That's a good idea. TribeFanInNC, that font is called Saddlebag. It's free and available here Saddlebag Font | dafont.com The guy who created it, Dieter Steffmann, has a lot of other great fonts you might want to check out as well.
