Updating Stats ?

If I update a players stats (in commish mode)before I start a season.
Example I update G.Beckham's stats as they actually are for 2009,then press the "create current ratings based on stats" What am I doing for his performance (using the QS game) and his potential.
Won't that basically create his 2010 player "Card" ?

Yeah seems that way but I think when using the editor it has a default of 550 ab. So if you just plug in his stats for 09 then I would say you're not actually getting an authentic rating. You would need to prorate his stats for 550 ab.
