I would suggest for the Patch

To have the Date in the Game for the Rosters be 10-1-09 meaning Stats/Rosters would be updated to end of Season and we would start right at this years Playoffs with the Teams in who made it.

By the time the Patch comes out the season will be over and some people might want to start in the the Postseason or Offseason but not 1-1-10 some other date in 09 like me and people who want an updated Rosters. I could just Sim ahow year without any Games being played and have long Offseason but would that be fun yes maybe but I perfer not have to start on 1-1-09 but maybe 10-1-09 so a team like the Cardinals can try and resign Holiday,DeRosa and so on before they become a Free-Agent this year.

If I were managing the Mets in the Game I would like to start in just after 09 season is over like in real life to see who they would sign as a Free-agent or Trade for to be better then the Phils in 2010.

but that'll screw over the people who want to wait for the final patch to get the game and who want to play the MLB quickstart...

I agree. No offense or anything, but I don't think this is a very good suggestion, and probably will not fly. The majority of those waiting for the final patch would rather just replay the entire 2009 season. I know there are a lot of people who DO have the game are waiting for the final patch in order to begin a more permanent league and do the same. Same with those who are in online leagues as well.

Nah, it's always better to have the quickstart start at 1/1/09

Exactly. The Mets only have a chance in 2009 with OOTP. I had to suffer through this season so I'm looking to get revenge on the phillies and this is the only way I can now.

Any proposal that limits people is a foolish one.

MLB Quickstart can be for those who want to start at Opening Day and Updated Roster like Cubbyfan's might do with 09 Stats in them or mine that doesn't and start at the Postseason meaning 10-1-09.

Is there anyone that would be interested in doing a September 10th roster set so I could take over the Twins when they were 7 games back and try to catch the Tigers? That would be fun me thinks. This could be Quickstart #3.

Mine is updated to some time in August and somebody else has an updated one to but hasen't uploaded it yet. If your wanting up to date Standings no way to edit them but maybe some will update the stats to September 10 then you could go from that date intill 10-4 end of Season.
