FaceGen not initialized... how do i initialize it?

i'm trying to put player pics in there... how do i "initialize" it?

Check the option in the Game Preferences window off the Main Screen. Make sure it's enabled in there.

thank you for the quick response!!

but i have this enabled and i've tried disabling and re-enabling and it still says the facegen isn't initialized...

in the manual it says something about the app config file...

You can try changing it in the config file, but it probably should work from the game preferences screen as well. Sounds like you have some sort of video conflict that is not allowing FaceGen to initialize on startup. Do you have a funky screen resolution? I this faint glimmer of thought in my head that FaceGen didn't work for me one time when I was playing around with screen resolutions. But I could be, to quote a famous pitcher, misremembering.

I'd try seeing if updating the config files or changing screen resolution helps. Also, I assume you have updated video drivers - if not, try those too.

Hope you get it cleared up.

I'm not on my computer with OOTP but I feel like I had to change FaceGen mode from Standard to one of the 2 trouble shooting modes and this worked.

Thank you guys!! got it to work! just changed the facegen setting to troubleshooting 2, changed my resolution to 1280x800 (pretty sure i didn't need to do this but who knows), and restarted the game!!
now i can start playing with faces...

*visits padresfan.com* anybody know any other good mod sites?
