Rule 5 Draft
I don't know if this is a bug, or an oversight in the way the game is programmed, but in my leagues, service time does not roll over to the next year before the Rule 5 draft. For example, even though I have service time set at 172 days, players still show up for the Rule 5 draft at 3 years, 185 days (INELIGIBLE, less than 4 years).

Players who were 18 years old or younger when they signed a contract aren't eligible till four years. Could this be what you are seeing? This is explained in the on-line manual. Search for "rule 5" if you have access.

In the real Rule 5 draft, eligibility is not based on minor league service time, it's based on how many drafts it's been since the first effective season of a player's contract.
