third patch and the one thing you want fixed
I remember reading something about a third patch in mid-late August.
With that in mind, what is the ONE thing you want fixed the most? For me, it's not allowing two-pitch pitchers to start in historical sims. While having three pitches is preferable, of course, in a historical sim, it makes for some very strange gameplay. Failing that, could we hardcode certain pitchers as starters? What is the best way to handle it--adding a third pitch to all starters? It just seems way off to me. |

I want to see "ghost" players returned to the game so that the minor leagues can run properly without the need to manually add more fictional players....too often I'll have a pitcher going 3-43 because other players were injured and they basically pitched every 2nd or 3rd day....there is a need to retain the integrity of a pitching order, and the starts, by automatically inserting the "ghost" players when other players are injured or promoted/demoted....

Don't have the game open now but they are in your league setup just can't tell you off the top of my head where to look. Go to the online manual and search for "ghosts" and you should find all of the information you need. |

I want "other" ratings (position ratings, stealing, etc.) printed on reports even when "current ratings" are turned off.

There's only one thing I want fixed: the game.

My request - being able to import historical players into the amateur draft pool - will be in the patch, so I'm already happy!

I would like to see the real life pitch repertoires added to the historical portion of the game.

So either you use the data that Lahman has available, find a better open source database, start your own better open source database, allow add-on files for the Lahman database or drop the historical imports. I think allowing add-on files is the best route to get to your goal. But what you really want is dependent on some trove of data that's in a ready-to-import fashion of pitches for players in MLB history. And even when you do find that, you still face two more problems: 1. You will never have a complete database (in the sense that, today, you, and the OOTP import, can find out the Innings Pitched for every player ever to pitch) and 2. Once we have some semblance of a record of pitch repertoire, the next thing people will complain about is that so and so was imported with his curveball, but it was rated a 5 of 10 when it clearly should have been 10-10. And for that, we have even less data. |

I hate it when you go through a list of players and when you click back everything is at the top again, and you have to scroll through all the players again. This was okay until this years version, i think Satchel mentioned this in another thread....

Conversion issue re:OOTP 9 pitching staff roles changing in OOTP 10 upon league conversion. This issue keeps me from using 10. We either need a fix or a 'mass select' option so we can fix the problem ourselves (in 15 minutes not hours and hours).

My personal opinion is that the pitching system is broken and should be fixed.

I agree with this. There's another issue that irritates the heck out of me--in many screens you're able to "click through" the top-layer menu/screen and select something underneath. Check out the two examples below.

I'll go with a minor annoyance and mention that I'd love the ability to collapse partial seasons when looking at a player's stats. I'm looking at a screen right now where a player was on three clubs in one year, then two clubs the next year. That is seven lines on the screen (since OOTP also shows the combined numbers) for two seasons.

I'll agree on that. Look at this guy who was on my team the last couple years:
Player Report for #22 Alfonso Rodríguez 3 teams in 2010, 2 teams in 2011, 2012, and 2014. It's one big cluster-F. |
