Manager File Error
When I try to load my fictional league, I keep getting a "Manager file corrupt, cannot load" message. Is there any way of fixing this? I'm hoping there is, because I'm about 45 years into the history :/

Same problem
I have the same problem. The program loaded fine until today when I got the following error message:
DATABASE::load_database - could not load managers file The program freezes at that point. All other data files seem to have loaded fine. |

Haven't played the game in weeks because of this frustrating problem. Still no answers?

Same here
Is there's anybody who knows how to get the game running again? I don't want to start a new one I'm in my 7th season. I have the same problem as the guys with the "cannot load the manager file" from the database. It's starnge because I created a new game and I can load it with no problems...

But from experience it would seem like the file is corrupted.... I can only say to back-up as often as you can. (The best way I find to back-up is to copy your lg folder of the league to a different location....external being the safest of course) Last edited by SMFXR01; 12-17-2009 at 05:49 AM. |

Ok but there's no way to replace that file with a non-corrupt one?

I would have to say no. (OOTP10 has an anti-corruption feature.....but I would still back-up). The only thing I could suggest is to create a similar league and then copy over the managers file from the new to the old league....(it may work). About the only advice I can give apart from to chalk down to experience.......... And remember to back up regularly. Last edited by SMFXR01; 12-17-2009 at 10:05 AM. |

I'm sorry it's been so long since anyone has replied to this thread.
Is anyone still experiencing this problem? I'd love to take a look at some league files if anyone has a league in which this is happening...Thanks, Steve
