League Bogging Down

Playing the default DB with full minors. After 5 seasons the game is starting to bog down a bit between sims. Is there anything to remedy this? Deleting box scores, messages, etc.?

I always just make sure to delete my messages that are over a year old. This seems to help a lot.
Also, if you delete extra box scores that you won't be using (or set them to not even save in the first place) this should increase sim speed as well.

Also in the setup menu somewhere is the ability to have the game automatically delete any players that retire but never made in to the major leagues.

This saves a good chunk of space and processing time. These guys add up quickly especially if you use feeder leagues.
