Lobsters/Saxons Logo Requests
If any of you very talented logo makers could produce logos for the following two teams, I'd be very grateful:
Springfield Lobsters Salem Saxons Thanks in advance! Mark |

Here's a graphic you may be able to work with for the Lobsters logo.....

Do you like this for the Lobsters? I know, it isn't terribly colorful. If you don't like it, I might be able to work with the one you posted.
I'm a little stuck with the Saxons. Any ideas? Last edited by TribeFanInNC; 08-02-2009 at 06:41 PM. |

I was looking for something a little more "lively". I hope that didn't sound too unappreciative. If you put some text to the graphic I posted, either Springfield or Lobsters, I'd be happy.
Insofar as the Saxons are concerned, I was at a lost as well. I googled Saxons and came away with nothing of use. A sword, pike or battle axe with text would probably fit the bill. Thanks so much! |

Well, Saxons were the barbaric, viking like people in pre-1066 england, so a viking king like figure might do well.

No worries. Take your time and get to it when and if you can. Bubba: While there are similarities between the Saxons and Vikings, one thing they don't apparently share is the horned helmet, and most Viking logos sport a Thor like figure with the horns. That's why I think it may be easier to simply spin some text around a sword or battle axe. Thanks to both of you! Mark |

Can you resize the logo smaller, crop out the text and make it less fuzzy?
Thanks for being so patient and accommodating! Mark |

I love that graphic! Did you run an internet search to uncover this? Are there some specific sites logo makers frequent, or is it just an internet search crap shoot?
In any case, thanks so much for this! Mark |

That is a good graphic. I doubt it's a saxon but it looks good.
I like to look at several of the logo sites - LOGO SHAK- GRAPHIC PROOF , Chris Creamer's Sports Logos Page - SportsLogos.Net are the main ones but there are others. On Logoshak they have many minor league football, hockey, etc. teams that have interesting names and good logos. The Division II and III colleges are good sources too. You get some interesting team names there such as Paladins, Great Danes, Vandals...no Saxons though. I even found a Canadian college called the Tommies. ![]() And cephasjames has lots of generic logos - cephasjames - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting He has sized them all at 150x150 for OOTP but I find it easier to work with as big a graphic as possible. And a quick google search won't hurt either. Saxons is a hard one though.

I frequent Logo Shak, Chris Creamer's and Cephasjames' site. I obtained about 90% of my team logos from those sites. I was just trolling for any other gold mines that might be out there.
Agreed, the logo is probably not a true Saxon (I searched for an hour and came up empty), but certainly close enough for the world of OOTP. Mark |

How is this for the Lobsters? I was just looking around and found something that might fit the bill.

I'd forgotten I'd posted in here. I got my pic from this pic: http://www.geocities.com/asatru_oest...n_warriors.jpg
if someone wants to crop him out and do a logo from him, go ahead, I don't have access to the computer I do my graphics work at the moment. this is the google search I did, you may be able to find something here: saxons - Google Images |
