Amateur draft talent

I checked the forums to see if there was a post talking about this but didn't find anything which described precisely what I'm seeing. If I missed it I appologize.

That said, I am using a combo of Feeder Leagues and generated players to supply the amateur draft, and in the last three seasons (I am currently at the end of 2016) I have seen a dramatic drop in draft talent. Whereas for the first four years of the feeders (following the initial draft already included) I would see anywhere from 10 to 20 5 Star prospects and a good deal of 4 and 3 star prospects. These past three years saw a combined 2 5 star prospects, with my last draft having only 1 4.5, 2 4, and another 10 3 star prospects. Why the prodigious drop in draft talent? My scout has changed, but the ratings are approximately the same (in the mid 90s across the board) and both had the "Highly Values Tools" rating.

I'm not saying its a bug, but I am curious if this is normal or if something is wrong here.

The same thing has happened to me, on a smaller scale. This might not help, but what I did was I calculated how many players I wanted for each of the rookie leagues and short season A teams for every major league team, and created an appropriate number of feeder league teams, proportional to the number of college and high school teams I want (the number of teams relates to the number of types of draftees you desire in your annual draft, i.e. 18 yr. olds, 22 yr. olds, etc.).

Once I did this, I used the "feeder league only" option for supplying the draft. More importantly, by creating many more feeder league teams (my draft pool is about 3700 players, with a 50 round draft), I raised the possibility of supplying the draft with more high-end talent.

If you want me to explain more, I gladly will. My best guess is that you need to create more feeder league teams.

Tell us what happens.
