AI Scouting Weights

Just thinking over how I want to start my new league, and wanted to get some opinions. I am thinking of playing with ratings turned off (maybe potential on 1-5, current off, I haven't decided. In order to give the AI an advantage, I plan to turn scouting to high and let the AI use these ratings in its evaluation. I also want to try changing the AI evaluations on a monthly basis like this:

Month Apr May June July Aug Sept
Ratings 40 40 40 40 40 40
Current 0 20 30 35 40 50
Last Y 40 30 25 20 15 10
2-yrs 20 10 5 5 5 0

Does this sound like it would help the AI?

Any thoughts?

How you set the scouting option has no effect on the AI. It is only to increase or decrease the level of difficulty you experience in evaluating players.

The scouting accuracy may not tangibly affect the AI, but the evaluations certainly do have an effect, whether it be roster management or trading, etc... and the degree of the effect may be variable, but it's there. One look at trading opportunities with ratings set to 100 compared to the same candidate with eval set to all 2 years ago (of course this is coupled with team's focus and global preferences among otheres) demonstrates that there is effect. Additionally, though not in every instance, setting everything to last year may have the AI starting, or including in its depth chart, an offensive player who might otherwise might not have been. That aspect does have effect, however inconsistent or slight it may be at times.

So this is not really worth bothering about? It will only have a minor effect?

So this means that for increased difficulty scouts should be set lower, thus handicapping you, but not the AI teams?
