OOTP 10 Created League - Very Low Defensive Ratings

I created a league when the game was first released and started at 1900 and simmed to the current season. Right around 1980 I stopped the sim and stopped bringing in real MLB players to create an alternative baseball history. Today I sat down to start working on this league and when I read the email for the gold glove winners I decided to look at their fielding ratings. To keep it short....I checked every MLB team and the top defender has a 5 and after that they might have another 3 and the rest are 2's and 1's. No player in this league has a defensive rating above 5 and even those are very rare. Whats the deal? Is there a way to recalculate just the defensive ratings?

You sure you didn't accidentally select 1-5 as the defense rating scale?

I am about 75% positive I didn't. Heading to work so I will have to check later.
