This Game is ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!!!
This game is a piece of something im not gonna say. Its a miracle to score a run or to shut down the computers offense. This game is rigged so the Computer can win. Just look at the log for each game at the bottom. Everything the computer hits to the wall drops in and everything you hit is caught. Nobody is hitting home runs on my team everyones stats are just terrible, nowhere near the ballpark of being close to the real stats. This game needs a complete overhaul in the simulatiom so markus better get to work now and get us a patch out because this game is horrible.

Wow....pretty harsh for someone that just joined a few months ago with only 9 posts.
What is your team like? I have run into this issue but I drafted and have an extremelly young team, biding my time to get experience and crush the teams that are currently kicking my ass. |

Actually, I think the dude is messing with us. Kind of wrapping up all those "this game sucks" threads into one neat location.

Star League Baseball for the C64 used to cheat.
My cousin destroyed a three-foot square of the plaster wall in his bedroom by repeatedly bashing his joystick. This was one of his poor joysticks, which always took the blame for all his deaths in whatever game he was playing. ![]() Nothing ever compared to the Epyx 500XJ. Best stick made before the Playstation DualShock came out.

I'd recommend RBI baseball for Nintendo.

Actually, what the OP is describing is quite realistic. I saw it in the Reds game tonight. Therefore, if they are accurately portraying their plight, we are playing the single most realistic baseball simulator ever. 22-1 and the Phillies just got computer assistance left and right.

Well, while I don't agree the computer cheats, I will say that a "post count" means nothing in whether you have valid criticism or experience with OOTP. I'm 38 and have had every version of OOTP since OOTP 2, when we converted our league to that from FPS Baseball. The first baseball computer simulation I played extensively was Microleague Baseball (the first one). IBM PC Jr.
So, all I'm saying is don't dismiss criticism by the post count. For example, finances are JACKED in this game. |

![]() I guess he hasn't figured out yet that the "computer" (i.e., AI) is actually pretty easy to beat.

Your attitude remind me of my friends, when I was young. They used to play SNES Ken Griffey baseball. When they were losing in the ninth inning, they used to "accidentaly" reset the SNES so they could win every game in the season.
You have to work to win. Rome wasn't built in a day! Plus, you haven't told how many games you have played. It's hard to believe you when you're so vague. Personally, I like to draft some young players, who have not reach their full potential at the start of a new league. So my first years are always tough. Just keep trying. Spot your weaknesses, make a trade, sign a free agent, release a player, but do something! |

I just played my first game ever and I lost in the bottom of the 10th. I'm pretty sure the computer cheated to keep me from winning. I don't think I'll be playing again.
